New Group Home Facility - Hettinger, North Dakota

ABLE, Inc. Purchased a lot in Hettinger next door to their current group home to construct a new home. In order to keep as much money in the community and meet their budget we worked with as many local contractors as possible.

GT Architecture was hired to design the new group home to meet their current needs and allow for some additional growth. The goal was to create a facility that met all their space requirements while still looking like a home and blending well into the neighborhood.

The home has six bedrooms with two of them set up to be easily converted into a two-bedroom apartment. A Day-Hab area that can be converted to a one-bedroom apartment. A double car garage, large meeting room and all the other amenities required to operate the facility.

1173 Mall

Remodel - Dickinson, North Dakota

ABLE, Inc. purchased the T-Rex Mall for a location to consolidate all of their stores while also giving back to the community by renovating a building that was in need.

GT Architecture was hired to give the mall a new look from the exterior as the first phase of the project. A mix of stone, steel and fiber cement products along with new storefronts and exterior lighting was used to achieve the new look ABLE was envisioning.

The next phase was to remodel and add a fully ADA compliant Restroom with an adult changing station that can be used by anyone in the community in need.

Phase three is currently underway which will tie in the South end of the building with similar finishes and a canopy to be used for drop-offs for the ABLE thrift stores. This phase also includes interior renovations to several ABLE stores as well as a large processing area for all the items they receive.

The last phase will be an interior remodel of all the public spaces through-out the building.
